Green Eating

It has been a week of green eats for Dr. Shaver! Here are a few ideas to keep your meals fresh, healthy, and green!

Avocado toast is a great way to start your day. Like a lot of people, breakfast is a struggle for me every morning. I never have much of an appetite but I am a huge advocate for “breakfast is the most important meal of the day!” Avocado toast is a perfect solution. It’s super yummy and filling so you feel satisfied and aren’t left craving those mid-morning snacks. I eat mine on gluten free toast and top with my favourite “everything but the bagel seasoning” from Trader Joes.

Zucchini noodles (aka zoodles…because that is way more fun to say) are a delicious and gluten free alternative to traditional pasta. To create these beautiful noodles, all you need is a spiralizer. Mine is called the “Veggetti” and you can find it at any kitchen store, Bed Bath and Beyond, Canadian Tire, etc. Serve with your fave sauce and ta-da!
